01 Apr Fairway Sponsors 5th Annual 24-Hour Run Challenge
Fairway of the Carolinas is proud to have been a platinum sponsor for Team Omega during the 5th annual 24-Hour Run Challenge to benefit the TACP Association. Formed in 2009, the TCAP usually consists of a team of two or more United States Air Force Tactical Air Controllers. The mission of the TCAP is to remember our fallen, to honor the living, and to aid brothers in need.
During the 24-Hour Run Challenge, participants worked as a team to complete a relay run continuously for 24 hours. The runners did not run for the entire timeframe but were rotated around the clock to give them rest, to hydrate, and keep the motivation high.
Branch Manager Tom Tousignant is a member of Team Omega and is extremely proud to have helped such a great cause! He commented,
“Having served in the 118th ASOS for many years, it’s a privilege to sponsor these heroes in the 24 hour challenge. The money goes for a great cause -supporting wounded members of the TACP career field and surviving families, but the way they raised funds is even more impressive. Car washes and ice buckets are fun – but, a continuous 24-hour relay run by a group of dedicated volunteers? That takes guts, passion and a heart to serve. The Citizen-Airmen in the 118th ASOS are legendary Americans.”
Team Omega logged a total of 598.36 miles during the event and raised over $15,000 for the TACP Association. We are honored to be able to help such a fantastic organization! For more information about the TACP Association, click here.
