28 Jun Austin Medall, Loan Officer with Fairway of the Carolinas
Fairway Independent Mortgage of the Carolinas is excited that Austin Medall has continued his professional growth by transitioning from the role of loan officer assistant to licensed loan officer. Austin previously worked as the team lead for loan officer assistants, helping create most of the guidelines and processes that are still in effect today. He has been in the mortgage industry since 2014. After graduating from Ole Miss, Austin spent time working in the commercial mortgage and wine industries before coming to Fairway.
Austin enjoys working for Fairway of the Carolinas and in the mortgage industry because he’s able to use his passion for real estate and finance to help others. Growing up with a father who was a land developer only strengthened Austin’s love of real estate. After college, Austin began a job with a startup company that provided mortgages for condo/apartment building owners. Soon after, he was introduced to Fairway through a friend who worked here. This led to Austin meeting mortgage planner Rick Melville, who needed someone to fill in as his loan officer assistant.
Austin couldn’t be happier about expanding his role in the Fairway family. When asked what he likes most about Fairway, Austin commented:
“I would have to say the incredible support that our operations team provides day in and day out and the useful trainings that are provided each week. I learn something new just about every day, so I’m constantly growing as a mortgage professional.”
Sales and branch manager Ken Land is thrilled to have Austin working as a mortgage planner on the team. He commented:
“We are very excited to see Austin transition to a full-time loan officer. He has done amazing work as a loan officer assistant while taking on more and more of the sales process once licensed. Austin has had the opportunity to work with very experienced loan officers and learn from the best, which has given him an excellent platform to start from. I know he will do wonderful, and look forward to watching this next phase of his career unfold!”
When he is not guiding homebuyers through the mortgage process, Austin loves to be active and outdoors and is involved in several recreational sports leagues. He also has a passion for craft beer, red wine and sushi establishments.
As Fairway Independent Mortgage of the Carolinas continues to grow and expand, we look forward to seeing the continued success for the Charlotte team with the addition of Austin as a mortgage planner. We put our best foot forward every day to better serve Carolina homebuyers as well as provide them with the best resources available.
